Fajã da Ovelha is a parish in the district of Calheta, located southwest Madeira Island. The Atlantic Ocean is to the south and the mountains are to the northeast.

This is a quiet and sunny civil parish. The church has a belvedere, from which we can admire the part of the rock which, according to tradition, Saint Amaro protects the place, so that it does not “fall into the sea”.
